Written Guide

You can now easily shift all you dates using the delay button in the top right corner of the project page.

Steps to Delay a Project

Navigate to the Project Details page. Click on the Delay button located at the top of the page.

Select the dates from which you want to shift your stage and the dates to which you want to move them. Click on the Shift Dates button.

Applying Delay to Project Phases

There are various ways to apply delay to a project. You can apply it to all phases, a single phase, multiple phases, or even split a phase into two.

Applying Delay to All Phases

This method applies the delay from the current phase start date onwards. For instance, if you set the Delay From date to 1/4/2023 and Delay Until to 12/6/2023, it will update only the phases that start from 1/4/2023 and retain the dates of the phases starting earlier.

Note that the end date of the entire project adjusts to the last phase's end date, while the total duration remains computed from the first phase's start date to the last phase's end date.

Applying Delay to Single or Multiple Phases

This option allows you to select specific phases to which you want to apply the delay. The computation of dates remains the same as when applying the delay to all phases.

Splitting Phases During the Delay

This option duplicates the selected phase, ending the first phase at the Delay From date and starting the second phase at the Delay Until date. This feature is particularly useful when you don't want to forecast revenue during that time period.

To use this feature, select the phase, click on Delay, set the Delay From and Delay Until dates, then select Split Phases That Occur During Delay and finally, click on Shift Dates.

Remember, splitting phases will also split the fee and hours budget between the two new phases.
