Written Guide

To manage a staff member's permissions, navigate to the Staff Details page and select the Permissions tab.

Permission Levels

There are five levels of permissions that can be assigned to staff members:

  1. Master Admin – This permission level allows full access to all aspects of the project. This staff member can view and edit all data.

  2. Limited Admin – This staff member has administrative access but only for selected projects or cost centres. They cannot access or edit everything.

  3. Project Manager – This staff member can assign time to other staff members but cannot edit project budgets or fees.

  4. Viewer – This staff member can view project information but is not allowed to edit it.

  5. Timesheet – This staff member can only enter time against projects.

Note: The default permission level is 'Timesheet'.

Financials Permissions

You can control the financial data a staff member can view. If given the relevant permissions, staff members can view overhead expenses for a cost centre.

The available financial view permissions include:

  1. All financial data hidden

  2. Can only see staff cost and project expenses

  3. Can see all financial data except pay data

  4. Can see all financial data

Note: By default, all financial data are hidden to staff members.

Project Permissions

Specific permissions can also be assigned for a project or cost centre. For a staff member to enter time against every project, they must have the 'Everything - Timesheet' permission.

If you wish to assign multiple project-specific permissions, click on the '+Add permission' button, select the project you want to give the staff access to, and then select the permissions they will have.

Adding multiple project permissions provides the option to make the Resource Schedule page viewable or not for the staff member. If the Financials permission is set to 'Can see all financial data except pay data' or 'Can see all financial data' while giving multiple project permissions, the Revenue Forecast page can also be made viewable or not.

To delete a project permission, click on the 'X' button beside the project permission row you want to remove.

After making all necessary changes, click 'Save' to apply them.
